Of course this isn’t particularly geeky until you have a look at what powers this little House Wife Scout Assault Vehicle.Solar powered, this light weight go-kart frame hides beneath a faux-par topiary. Not reaching great speeds it’s obvious Jason  Shull’s creation was not meant to win any races. Still considering its sustainable nature and likely whisper quiet engine we are looking at the average house wifes urban recon vehicle. Add a blow dart and a sling shot we’ve got ourselves the making of a video game. I somehow doubt we’ll be seeing this vehicle turn up in Modern Warfare or Medal of Honour.

The fibre glass dome offers a surprisingly comfortably sized cavity for would be ghost recon’s to survey the burbs. Featuring multiple internal feeds linked to (apparently) 3 LCD camera’s (or 300 mini cams) to produce a video feed system Bond would be jealous of. It is however missing the heated leather seats and espresso dispenser. It wouldn’t be right if I didn’t give a link back to the Terrestrial Shrub’s creator Jason Shull.

Default settings aren't optimal

Preventing thieves from stealing you computer simply because it’s useless and disheartening cyber criminals by crashing before they can steal any useful information.

Of course its not all bad. The fuzzy logic processing that works out when your computer is at it’s least likely to crash moment is a feat of genius. Using the omgbbqsauce engine the windows insta-crash will detect you facial movements via subtle electro magnetic changes in the air. Computers are amazing things. From these pulses they can detect when you are at your most a; in able to deal with a catastrophic crash and b; least aware of anything other than you current focus. Boom, the most effective crash moment is chosen, followed by a complex history check of your usage. Extrapolating data from your trends and habits your computer can then go on to ensure your most precious data and information will be corrupted and thus rendered useless if you skip the reboot file check.

Well not actually better than my smartphone at lets say, making phone calls or browsing the web with one hand while sipping my geek haven cafe grande early in the morning or playing flash games from newgrounds or albino black sheep. It’s also totally useless if say I wanted to crank out a quick game of Modern Warfare 2 while chilling in a Wi FI enabled restaurant waiting for a business partner.

Just for the record what is it with your mobile devices being so god damned big you need a man bag. Chewbacca doesn’t have a man bag, Han Solo doesn’t have a man Bag. Luke Sky Walker has a man bag but even he doesn’t admit to it openly.

So look at it this way, the i-Pad can browse the net with a wonderful touch interface. Beyond that it’s a god damned geek wet dream toy. TOY. Admit it, it’s an expensive toy. If it was a tool, it would have a purpose, not force you to rationalise your purchase.

I’m thinking this kid had the right idea. Buy an i-Pad for a reason. Reason #1 To smash it in front of hundreds of lame desperate people who have camped out for day’s to buy this oversized plastic piece of geek toy and watch them cry. #2 to promote something randomly on youtube. At the date of publishing we are talking 2 Million hits. It seems I am not the only person who wants to see someone smash an i-Pad.
