Hey this is probably a question for Tristan, how do you get ubuntu to give java more ram. minecrafts only being given 512mb, and its using about 460mb before I even set any dynamite of, its been a bit buggy since I started with controls getting sticky till I enter and exit the menu, and the more happening it chuggs like a pig, when Its happening I check my system reources and my cpu is only about 50% usage and ram at 65% and swap drive at 40% the rest of my apps like firefox, minecraft and banshee running at the same time don’t have any problems their all sweet
change the Xms and Xmx sections in the launcher to what you want.
eg.
java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -jar minecraft.jar
will give you 1gb of ram,
java -Xmx2048M -Xms2048M -jar minecraft.jar
will give you 2gb of RAM.
Thanks Shad, it helped a bit but doing research on the recommended system and well, I need more ram and better graphics

sorry dude I clicked on contact and thats what popped up, I thought it was wrong, but I just shrugged my shoulders and went fuck it, most other sites don’t make much sense too me whats another one to the list. I suffer from web page navigation dyslexia, don’t know but the last pod was awesome, considering it was a first(well multiple attempts at first episode) I liked it, and being a part of a pod would be fricken awesome, Oh yeah where should I ask questions?
